There are many homes available in Costa Rica for rent ranging from 100 to 2500 per month. A Costa Rica rental is typically done under a contract that last for a term of one year. Many people are pretty easy to work with if your needs are different, but laws are as such to make it required for a one-year minimum contract.
A Costa Rica rental house is different
than many houses throughout the world. The rental houses here are much more open air style than they are in other countries. Beachfront rentals sometimes have many areas of the house that don't even have windows where you think there should be some. Of course this is in the lower-priced homes but still you have to be aware that things are different here. Make sure that you have a full list of the requirements you want a house to have including Windows if you understand what I mean. If it is beachfront property that you want to be located on and you are a custom to cool weather, make sure you ask for air-conditioning.
If you have a few months to plan your vacation to Costa Rica then there should be no problem in finding exactly what you want. If you wait to last-minute you might not be very happy with your accommodations nor the price you pay for them. If you have a person here they can find a place for you for a lot less money than what you'll pay if you call directly for a rental from your country. Costa Rica real estate is a very different type of business and there are many sharks a long way. Be very careful if you plan on buying a piece of property in Costa Rica when dealing directly with the owner without someone from this country helping you.
